Working on my master

Since ngSeptember ’08 in started my training Master of informatics at the Hogeschool Utrecht (HU). I decided to do a master program because I wanted to give my career a next push.  My goal is to get more insight in the way IT works and should be done. I picked this training because it is an recognized master by the NVAO, so I will get an official master title.

This training will take 2 years with about 20 hours of work a week. So this will be a though one.

I’m planning to do the Information Systems Architecture specialization, this will be the most applicable specialization form my point of view, as a employee of an department at Capgemini where we build software solutions. Now I am an “application designer” which is an wrong function name for my daily work. Functional designer or information analyst would be more applicable. My next logical step in the career path will be something like architect, so the trainings specialization should give me some hands on and theoretical experience.

The modules consist of lessons in enterprise, proces, information and software architecture, and that are the thing where my interest lies.

I wish I could be as organized in those things as you do. But sometimes I am like too lazy, even if I know, that I will be interested in that a lot as soon as I’ll start it.
